Hi! I’m PARKER, but you can call me Tash.
I’m a songwriter / musician / visual artist living and working in Lutruwita / Tasmania, Australia.
I make electronic pop music, ambient music, and county/folk pop with my other band Runaway Belles.
I’ve also made a dark synth-pop record with a band called FM-2030.
I basically create whatever I’m feeling at the time…. So, if you’re into surprises (or any of the above genres), then you’ll probably love what I do.
I’m influenced by so much music but, right now, I’m so into electro pop pioneers Robyn and Imogen Heap. I’d even say that, thanks to their music, I’ve transformed as an artist in the last few years - and they really influenced my latest release...
I’ve just released a new EP called For You xoxo and the songs sit somewhere between electro, house, & glossy synth pop. The EP is colourful, energised, and club-ready. It feels like ME.
It also feels really personal. The EP’s first track “Good Enough” came out of a genuine question I was asking - partly to myself and partly to my ex - “am I good enough to love?”
It’s taken me a while but, I’m happy to report that I’ve decided YES. I AM… and the EP For You xoxo feels like a celebration of that discovery.
I’ve been playing a lot of these songs live for a while now and in 2023 I headlined ‘SHE’ - Moonah Arts Centre’s annual festival celebrating women in music and art. I also performed at the iconic Australian festivals Dark Mofo and Chill Out festival.
On the day I released For You xoxo I performed on the main stage at Party in the Paddock - not long after being billed at Launceston’s Festivale.
I love playing these songs live… but it’s felt so weird to sing them on stage and not have any way for people to hear them if they liked the show. So, I decided the recordings were good enough to released (pun intended!) and now they’re out in the world - for you ❤️

I’m a huge supporter of women in music and women producers. So I’ve also made a playlist called “She’s From Tasmania” - so you can listen to a whole lot of amazing female identifying artists on this beautiful island of Tasmania that I call home.
I grew up in Kununurra on a mango and banana plantation. When I was 17 I learned how to play guitar and became a country singer (I love Dolly Parton so much!)
When I was 21 I moved to Melbourne and became an indie-folk artist. I listened to Joni Mitchell, Feist and Emiliani Torrini a lot.
In 2014 I went to art school to learn painting, video art and more. That’s where I discovered that I love making all kinds of art, not just music.
So, in 2017 I moved to Tasmania to escape the big city (guess I’m a country girl at heart) and make music videos with my friends (for my songs!).
Between 2018 and 2022 I released 8 singles and a remix, plus a Runaway Belles EP.
In 2023 I released my first ambient album HELD.
And now I have For You xoxo.
(see what I mean about following / creating whatever I’m feeling?)
People refer to me as a Multi-disciplinary artist - a songwriter, musician, producer and visual artist.
I have a BA in Fine Art from RMIT (I majored in Sonic and Spatial Practice). I’ve won major awards for my video art practice at New York Film Awards, Los Angeles Film Awards, Top Shorts, the Melbourne Short Film Festival and Clipped Music Video Awards. I’ve also won the Women’s Art Prize Emerging Artist Award in 2020 and was finalist for the same in 2022.
I’ve co-produced my music releases with some of Australia’s top songwriters and producers including Wally De Backer (Gotye), Lachlan Carrick (Lior) and Becki Whitton (Aphir).
